Our Museum quality replica ships are made to exact scale and are built from the blueprints of the historic ships they replicate. As a result, these Museum quality replica ships are larger and more detailed than our Collector and Gift replica ship models.

All replica ships are 100% built from scratch, put together piece by piece, similar to an actual ship. Model kits are not used to build these replica ships. The wood is cut from trees.

The museum quality replica ships are made from plank on frame construction (hollow hulls). Ribs on the inside, piece by piece form the hull and deck. If you look closely, you can see the nails used to secure the strips of wood to the internal ribs of each replica ship.

Some Museum Quality replica ships utilize double plank on frame construction. Wood is cut piece by piece and put over the base of the replica ship's hull to the water line, making a fantastic looking replica ship.

In addition, our replica ships each have Working sail lines - this is true of all our replica ship models. The sail lines of each replica ship can be tightened and loosened to your fancy.

The Museum Quality replica ship sails can be furled and unfurled by tracing each working line. Although, we do not recommended this unless you are an experienced or avid model ship builder.
