Once our researchers have completed their task, they bring
their blueprints, photos, drawings and paintings to the design
phase of the replica ship building process. With the use of
specialized Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (very similar
to the software used by professional architects), our designers
create detailed three dimensional model renderings of the historic ship.
This three dimensional model also includes a mapping of the wooden pieces
(plank on frame) to be used in the construction phase of the replica
ship building process.
