Cabbage Leaves
Tapestry II.
Dimensions: 50"x37".
Woven in Belgium
Oudenaarde
(Aundenaerde in old
Flemish) was one of
the most important
production centres in
the XVI and XVII
century. Still
nowadays we find the
landscapes (Verdure),
Hunting Scenes and
Cabbage Leaves from
that period all over
the world. About
12,000 people in the
Oudernaarde area
earned their living
from these tapestries
in the beginning of
the XVI century and
nearly 20 centuries
later. Backed with
lining and tunnel for
easy hanging. 90%
wool, 10% cotton.
Our art tapestries
are reproductions of
great artists such as
George Botich, Lori
Lynn Simms, Malenda
Trick, Monet, Art
Fronchowiak,
Michelangelo, and Van
Gogh. Tapestries can
be ideally placed
over a sofa, a
fireplace, in a
hallway or any wall
requiring elegant
historic decor.
