In the 1950s, most people were only familiar with the incredible destructive power that nuclear energy had brought to the world at the end of World War II. The government, however, thought that there were ways that the power of the atom could be used to help the American people in peacetime. To make people feel comfortable with the awesome power of fission, the government started putting together some of the best propaganda films ever developed. Now for the first time, we have assembled them all in one place on the History Of Nuclear Energy - Power And The People 2-DVD set! If you are a student of history, energy or propaganda you need to own this set today!
Nuclear Power For Peace!
For decades, power generation had been a hugely expensive and often unreliable proposition. In the 1950s, however, scientists started suspecting that nuclear power could be used to reliably create an almost limitless amount of electricity to keep the lights on all over America!
This 2-DVD set shows you some of the earliest nuclear reactors ever put into commission and lets you experience the dream of nuclear power being used for peaceful purposes!

"What a great deal with a professional seller!!!!!!!! I'm impressed and I'll be back!!!!!! Great packing guys...everything arrived A OKAY!!!!!!!" Gayle Ambler, Rochester, WA

See An Actual Atomic Test!
In order to dramatize the fact that power and peace were not the only uses of atomic energy, this 2-DVD set also includes footage of an actual atomic bomb test. It is a wonderful contrast to the positive spin that all of the other films on this series put on the potential of the atom! You will be riveted to your seat!
Nuclear Blasts Could Change The World!
At the time of these films even the government did not truly understand the dangers that nuclear bombs could pose for the long-term health of the planet. Included is a film showing government plans to set off nuclear bombs for large scale construction projects like building a new Panama Canal! You will be shocked at some of the ways science thought nuclear energy could be used!

Power To The People!
This fantastic, 2-DVD set provides an insight into how nuclear power plants operate, including technically detailed scenes about how people react to their dangers.
You will see clips dealing with the construction of a nuclear power plant in a small town, and learn the peaceful possibilities of atomic energy.
