Here are some Sassanian silver drachms depicting the bust of the King in a winged crown. The reverse shows two attendants at the altar of Zoroaster, ( a philosopher and religious leader like Moses, Jesus, and Mohamed who said he was sent by God to teach the people, that the only object of devotion between good and evil was fire ). This religion, considered to be one of the first monotheistic faiths flourished during the Persian dynasty of A.D. 224 - 651.

The Sassanids was the last line of Persian kings before the Arab conquest and the era was marked by wars against Romans, Armenians, and Huns and by the revival of Zoroastrianism.
