The inscription on the 24K gold-plated decorative bands are an invocation for protection for the helmet's owner Oshere to the Holy Trinity. The chainmail is firmly attached to the helmet as well as the cheek pieces for great protection in motion. This historic replica includes an adjustable leather liner and is a wonderful and rare example of 8th century craftsmanship, made by the finest armorers at Windlass Steelcrafts.
