Imperial Italic Type 'G' Helmet

The success of the Roman Empire often depended on the heavily armored foot soldier - the Legionnaire. The marched triumphantly from the cold mists of England to the hot, dry plains of the Mideast. In these campaigns, the Romans relied on these helmets for head-protection. These helmets are formed from 18 gauge steel or brass. Each comes with a liner.

Perhaps responding to the formidable two- handed sickles encountered during General Trajan's Dacian Wars, the Romans added crossed steel reinforcements to this helmet.

Hammered brass Luna motif makes this quite an attractive version of the classic Roman helmet. Weight: approximately 5 lbs.
