Ancient Greek Formed Leather Cuirass

This type of anatomical breastplate was first achieved from hot, wet formed leather. In later years, the same form was hammered out of thin bronze and eventually copied by the Romans.

The wet forming of the leather produced a much harder and altogether tougher type of armor that offered far more protection from a spear thrust or sword cut than a linen or leather corset. S/M or L/XL. Brown only.

Small/Medium is 14" across the chest

Large/X-Large is 18" across the chest

Formed leather slightly wraps around chest and leather will stretch a bit.

Fastens across back with elastic cloth straps with metal clips

Good for non- combat reenactments and theater
